Overview of the program

The Next Steps program, a flagship initiative by Camp Rock of Georgia, is a dynamic, rapid rehousing program designed to empower young individuals aged 18-24, including those with children, in Lowndes County. The program goes beyond former foster youth, opening its doors to any homeless young adults in the community.

MISSION

Empowering young adults who are homeless and those aging out of foster care through the Next Steps Rapid Rehousing Program to break the cycle of homelessness. Providing them with the resources, support, and opportunities they need to build stable, independent futures.

VISION

A future where every young adult transitioning out of foster care has the tools, guidance, and opportunities to secure safe and stable housing, acquire valuable life skills, and pursue their dreams, Ultimately breaking the cycle of homelessness and transforming their lives into a story of resilience, success, and hope.

Next Steps Garden

Next Steps acknowledges the hurdles confronting young adults transitioning from the foster care system into adulthood. Our innovative initiative, the Community Garden, aims to impart essential life skills.

The Community Garden becomes a transformative space for those grappling with post-foster care challenges and financial constraints. These resilient young individuals can cultivate their own herbs and vegetables, fostering self-sufficiency and empowerment. This project addresses practical aspects of daily living and serves as a therapeutic outlet, supporting participants in healing from past traumas.
